Today, Dorothy and I celebrated our 46th anniversary. We went to dinner and a movie. (We saw "Hope Springs" an ironic choice for a couple who has been married as long as we have.) We've had a good life together. Two daughters, five grand kids, one great grand kid. Life can't get any better than that.

Congratulations! Did "Hope Springs" make you appreciate each other all the more?
Dawn: Yes it did. That would not be a good life becoming strangers over the years.
Congratulatons! We had our 46th last February. Sometimes it seems as if we got married only yesterday; but sometimes it's hard to remember that we haven't always been together.
Congratulations. We will have our 48th this year. I don't think I have the nerve to see Hope Springs though ;). Maybe on the DVD someday. I do love Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep and they say it's good as a marriage therapy session
Rain: I told Dorothy after the movie that I would have preferred to see it at home with just the two of us. It was very funny but they covered some very personal issues that might make some people uncomfortable viewing it in mixed company.
Dinner and a movie is a lovely way to spend an anniversary. I'm glad you had a good day and you have had an enviable life together. All the best.
