Last week it seemed the cold would never end. This week the temperatures are rising and we are venturing out.. Gracen had not been outside to play since Christmas; such was the weather. Now she has become a wild child to make up for the months of confinement. We had our garden tilled today and it won't be long until we will be planting food.

From your most recent post, it sounds as though planting is going to have to wait for a while longer. I haven't been doing much of anything these past few weeks but planting--mostly tomato seeds and some citrus. I'm planning to sell most of the seedlings. Still, I'd love to have a patch of ground that big for a garden, and just as important--someone to till it for me!
BTW, the seeds from the Arkansas Traveler tomatoes you sent me last summer have produced potato leaf plants! Were your plants like that? None of the descriptions I've read of Arkansas Traveler on eBay and elsewhere describe as being a potato leaf plant, and yet both of the seedlings I have that survived the winter are potato leaf plants. I'll post a picture of one of them on your Facebook page so you can see for yourself. It's a bit too early to tell yet with the new seedlings I started a few weeks ago. So far, they look like regular tomato leaf plants, but so did the two older ones at that stage. At least I think they did--I have to admit I wasn't paying too much attention at the time.
