another project

The grassy area between the gate and our front porch has always turned to a puddle when it rains so I started another do it yourself project.

I marked off a pathway.....

.....then dug out the grass, set the round pavers, buried the plastic borders.........

.....then filled between the pavers with river rock. Now maybe not so much mud tracked into the house.

I think that will do the job Wally. Nice planing and attention to details! I know for sure it was labor intensive. Talk about sweat equity!

Thanks Clarence. Good to hear from you. Have you given up blogging?

I love to do projects like this! But I don't do them nearly as well. It looks like you have a lot more patience than I do.
Did you find the direx. for this in some do-it-yourself mag.? Or at Home Depot? Or, did you just think it up yourself? If the latter, I really envy you.

Mary Lee: I've seen things like this before so I had an idea of what I wanted. This particular design is one I made up. Digging up the grass and dirt was hard physical labor. It was hot and humid. Then I set each stone and used my own steps to figure the distance. Then I poured the rocks. Actually, I'm getting too old to do this.

Looks great! Now, how about letting the grandkids decorate the paving circles?
