here's the deal

OK, here's the deal. A lot of friends and family members have expressed disappointment in the demise of the Resident Curmudgeon. The blog has served well over the years in the capacity of keeping loved ones around the country updated on the news of the Blue family and keeping recent photos of the grand kids posted. I'm going revamp the site. I really don't qualify as a curmudgeon so I'll go back to the original title of my first website: "Life on Peach Eater Creek". I'll post quotations that particularly move me, book reviews (because I read a lot and like to share with people), and a funny story once in awhile. Only when I feel inspired. So you may have to wait out a word drought from time to time. OK?

YES!
It's strange, isn't it, how something like a title (Curmudgeon) that doesn't fit, can throw us off our paths for awhile. I think it's great (and rare) when blogging can clarify something about ourselves ("I'm not really a curmudgeon"). I don't think curmudgeons get excited enough about their own back yards to snap pictures along their exercise routes to share with the world. Or to snap pictures of the fence around the back yard, or the tree that the hurricane blew across the fence, or the view from one's newly renovated room in the old house, etc. etc.
Even though the blog was set up just to share pix of grandkids, keep the family up to date, and pass on good quotations, something else got through. And that something else - making the most of whatever one has - is what keeps me coming back.
Funny how life surprises us, isn't it?

Well, I couldn't be more delighted. My Blogroll doesn't update, so I didn't know you were back. Good news.
