homeward bound

Traffic stops on the bridge over the Alligator River to allow a boat to pass.

It looks as if you all had a wonderful trip. I love the pictures. When I read that you were leaving Monday, I wondered if you would run into the tropical storm, but it looks as if you missed it. It probably wasn't as bad as the weather you hit as you headed home.

That's true. When we checked into our hotel at Nags Head the clerk said a tv crew from Virgina had just checked out. They had come down to cover "Alberto". There was nothing to cover. That turned out good for us because there was only light traffic on the island and no waiting at the retaurants. But that storm in Arkansas was a whopper.

This sounds like it has been such a wonderful trip--and we got to experience it vicariously with your photos and words. I have never been to the places you visited, so it's all new to me.
