This morning Dorothy and I were discussing how fashions come and go over the years. I happened to remark that when I was younger and skinnier I dressed in style but now that I'm older I don't really pay attention to what's fashionable.
"I can tell that by how you're dressed today," she said.
"What's wrong with this?"
She said, "You're wearing dark blue shorts and a light blue shirt. They don't go together."
"Yes, they do."
"No, they don't."
"Well, I can tell you're not an artist," I replied. "This ensemble is what the creative community calls monochromatic harmony."
She laughed.
"What's so funny", I inquired.
"Monochromatic harmony. I'll have to remember that." Then she laughed again. Not a short, polite laugh mind you, but a head thrown back, full guffaw.

Monochromatic hoohaw!
Monochromatic harmony; I like your very dry sense of humor, Wally, and Dorothy's response. By the way, thanks for that King Pao chicken recipe. I'm going to try it out this summer. Tonight I made pasta with fresh tomatoes, garlic, spices, cheese. Good thing I live alone, or at least without a mate.
