Ben, our son, deep fried our turkey, too. When he said he could fry it on the deck, I told him he had to do it on the driveway at least 20 feet from the house. I'd like to have my deck as is for a while longer instead of a heap of charred lumber. There was no mishap. Another reason to be thankful.
